This September and October Mortar Theatre and Pegasus Players present AUTUMN MUSE, a collaborative programming series of readings, musical performances and workshops. All programming is presented at the Uptown Hull House Leo Turner Theater at 4520 N. Beacon Street in Chicago, IL.
We’ll get you singing…
with a staged reading of a new musical, Never Having Seen a Bird by Sarah Marie Nielson. Mermaids, guitars and bluesy tunes will have you tapping your feet like you’re in an octopus’s garden.
Saturday, September 22, 5:00pm. With post-reading musical performances from Megan Tabaque and David Knoell.
We’ll get you speaking out…
with a new one-man show from 25 different black, gay perspectives. Seek and Ye Shall Find written and performed by Sentell Harper, directed by Stephanie Stroud.
Friday September 28, 8:00pm. Friday October 12, 8:00pm.
We’ll get you moving…
with Viewpoints Intensive, a 2-day movement and ensemble interaction workshop. We’re looking for collaborators, movers and shakers to spend two days exploring the method that has become an essential foundation for the modern actor.
